A Different Way to Measure Time
THE THINKING BEHIND THE CALENDAR
AETHEREON asks what a civil calendar might look like if its months, weeks, and astronomical year were designed to fit together more cleanly.
AETHEREON responds to familiar calendar frustrations: months have different lengths, weeks do not divide evenly into months, weekdays shift from year to year, and September through December no longer sit in the positions their number-based names suggest.
Each of the 13 regular months has 28 days: four exact seven-day weeks. Together they make 364 structured days, with the remaining orbital time handled outside the regular months.
A solar year is about 365.2422 days, so the 364-day month structure leaves the remaining orbital time outside the regular months. Eonfall marks that year-end transition. This web edition does not assume an unspecified recurring correction-day rule.

Eonfall follows Aethereon 28 and marks the orbit’s completion. The 2026–27 cycle has no additional correction day specified.
Each month follows a Thursday–Wednesday grid.
This website follows the current AETHEREON mapping: October 8, 2026 = December 8, AETHEREON month 10. In this cycle, Aurelia 1 is January 22, 2026, and Eonfall is January 21, 2027. The 13 named months, each with 28 days, stay in the sequence below.
AETHEREON is a proposed creative calendar, not an adopted civil standard. The web version currently covers this 2026 cycle only; its future correction-day rule has not been specified.
